Frequently Asked Questions
Is the School of the Prophets a church?
No, the Lord has revealed that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church and that it will be cleansed in His own due time (D&C 85:7).
Is Robert Crossfield still alive?
No, he passed away in 2018. The School of the Prophets is waiting on the Lord to see who should be the next president.
How does the School of the Prophets relate to Zion?
The Lord has said that Zion, when properly set up, has four arms:
1. Educational Arm = School of the Prophets
2. Missionary Arm = Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
3. Political Arm = Kingdom of God
4. Economic Arm = United Order
Haven’t we been taught that God will never allow the president of the Church to lead us astray?
Yes! But being told something is not necessarily what the scriptures teach. Several scriptures, including D&C 107:81-84 and JST Mark 9:40-48, completely contradict this doctrine. Many of the quotes used to support this teaching are secondhand quotes of things Joseph is purported to have said. Do we hold to the rod, which is the word of God, or to hearsay? (See the God-Given Right to Not Sustain the Church President).
What happened to the Second Book of Commandments?
In October of 2017, the Lord commanded the School to combine the Book of Commandments and Second Book of Commandments into one book. It is now called The Book of Prophets:
"... And ye shall place all My commandments to My current prophets together into one volume beginning with those that were received by My servants Joseph Smith, Orson Hyde, Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff and Lorenzo Snow -- who was My last prophet in the church. Then ye shall mention My true prophet John Koyle, for I gave him utterance on several occasions which he wrote not down for fear of persecutions. And lastly My Servant who is an Elias, who under My direction has uttered words to prepare My children, even Israel, for My coming to reign as King of Kings. For in these commandments were revealed many of the hidden things that I promised Mine Israel were to be revealed in the last days. Yet not all."
